:{LIVERPOOL’S GOAL OF THE SEASON CONTENDERS}:

Fernando Torres is great at footah

Another season of close, but no cigar - although, it was good to finish the job by beating Spurs on Sunday. Away from home too and one more goal for Fernando means that he’s equalled Bernie Mac as the second top scorer in the Premier League this term.

Moreover, Liverpool have finally got a 20 goal striker for the first time since Robbie Fowler [Mickey Owen may be dead nice and everything, but never bagged 20 goals in the league and, apparently, he’s bound for Toffeeland anyway].

But, whether you’re a paid-up foot soldier in the Anfield army or not, click the link below for some humdinging howitzers and cashmere-codpiece, silky sensations for everyone to enjoy…
And, a goal from Andriy Voronin:

*Wiping a tear from my eye with the prospect of my little pumpkin boy’s imminent departure for Valencia…*

ps: The winner was Fernando’s mazy run and clinical finish during the Reds’ 4-0 rout of Marseille at the Stade Velodrome in the Champions League.

:{MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY @ Glastonbury}:

Michael Eavis and Bob Geldof

Click this link to see what I was up to last Saturday.
Then, click on the ‘Watch the rally’ link.

Bob Geldof made a speech for MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and, if you watch that video clip, you can see a scrum of paparazzi and TV cameras on the left. Amongst the professional Johnnies from Getty Images and Associated Press, you might spot some cheeky monkey in a white tee shirt barging them out the way with a happy snap digital camera. The picture above is my photo of Sir Bob, Michael Eavis and 60,000 kids [which isn’t that different to the Getty picture in the BBC report].

My mum is so proud.
