Good afternoon, Funstackers.

This viral has spread so fast, it’s almost last week’s news before this week ends, or something. At the time of writing, the video on YouTube has received over 47 million hits, almost all since last weekend. You can’t fault her logic: “tomorrow is Saturday. And Sunday comes afterwards.” PLUS: ‘Friday’, as performed by Bob Dylan:

VERSIONS GALORE
mp3 Blogs Are Great, #1 In A Continuing Series

http://www.versionsgalore.com
I’m not sure why I haven’t included mp3 Blogs previously, maybe because I’m an idiot.  Anyway, let’s make ammends: this very much does what it says on the tin, but in a comprehensive manner that melts my tiny mind: “Cover versions, of, but not limited to: 80’s, funk, soul, rare groove, electronica, reggae, dub and indie.  All plumbed from the archives of Leopold Stotch.”  For example, 21 covers of NICK DRAKE’s ‘River Man’, anyone?

22 takes on ‘Cissy Strut’ by THE METERS?

Leopold Stotch is also an extraordinary name; well done, Mr and Mrs Stotch.

HOW TO BUILD A CLOUD CHAMBER AT HOME: By Olivia (age 15)
http://physicsworld.com/blog/2011/03/how_to_build_a_cloud_chamber_a.html
Next time someone gives you something boring to do, just start attacking a smoke alarm wiht a Swiss Army knife and tell them: “sorry sweetheart, I’d love to help, but I’m building a cloud chamber”.  And, always remember: “when Olivia (age 15) demonstrates how to remove a radioactive piece of Americium from a smoke detector.  “Try not to point it directly at you,” she advises.”
