Last week was the 50th Friday night that I’ve played at The Alwyne and also a year since I started, so I played a retrospective set of the new stuff I’ve found over the last 12 months. I gave myself a few rules:
1: I had to include one track from each of the 50 weeks.
2: It had to be a song I played for the first time on that day.
3: I could only picked one track from each Friday, so lots of great tunes missed the cut.
It’s skewed, it’s highly subjective, but it was lots of fun and a fair snapshot of what I’ve been loving since last summer.
