:{Thanks to everyone who came down last Friday. I really enjoyed playing at The Skiddaw for the first time and, this week, I’m DJing on Friday *AND* Saturday.}:

What have you got planned when the school bell rings on Friday? Microwave chicken tikka for one, endless repeats of Friends on E4 and a cheap bottle of pinot grigio? I don’t think so. I’ve got a far better idea: collar a couple of chums, launch yourself in the general direction of Maida Vale, sashay gently down Elgin Avenue to The Skiddaw, get on the good foot and do the bad thing. Please feel free to drop in and loudly exclaim at the bar, “blimey, Charlie, bless my ears if this isn’t the phattest dope ever laid down on wax”.

:{Time present and time past
Are both perhaps present in time future,
And time future contained in time past}:
TS Eliot: ‘Burnt Norton’

Another month and another excuse to celebrate the fleeting ephemera of Old Father Time. And, when we’ve done that, we’ll play some particularly wonderful music, enjoy the sunshine, drink some beer and maybe a little bit of disco dancing too.

More specifically, as time marches inexorably onwards, it brings birthday fun for one of :{UA’s}: longest serving foot-soldiers,
SPENCER ROCKS.
Another year wiser and, probably, hairier. In addition, time has called last orders for The Eagle’s assistant manager and friend of :{UA}:
RORY O’DWYER,
who’s off to pastures new, blah, etc.
CHEERS and big beers to the bloody both of them.

As you may know by now, The Unplanned Allstars play the best music in the world, every month and all the money collected goes to charity. We’ve got some old stuff, new stuff and somewhere inbetween stuff. It’s the songs you love and never get to hear, plus new tunes you won’t be able to live without. We’re here to unplan your afternoon and make the world a simpler place.

Good music, with good people, for a good reason and ridiculous eclecticism, guaranteed, since 2005.

:{PS}:
If you were hoping to see the rock and roll fireball that is
GINGER TOM [lite]
playing live on Saturday, fear not; they’ll be playing UA#54 in August.
